World Cup Live, on Linux Terminal

By ET

World Cup has the final game today, between Italy and France. It will be an exciting game. Fortunately for me, I have a spanish-speaking TV station broadcasting the game, if I did not have it, I would have spent some time to figure out a way to watch the games. Here is one possibility: using Telnet.

Telnet can be found on both Linux, Windows, Macintosh, and pretty much every OS. To watch the live game, you just type:

telnet ascii-wm.net 2006
“The best, most ridiculous, most redundant graphical implementation of ASCII!”

“Clearly this is what the internet was invented for!”
(The Inquirer)

There is another funny place to visit if you use telnet, and (if you do,then very likely) watch Star Wars.

Telnet towel.blinkenlights.nl
