I got a Kindle DXG to replace the previous DX. DXG does not support wireless.

From my understanding, Kindle 3 should support the UST wireless without problem.

Hi Michael, I am also from HKUST and considering buying a kindle as well. Now there is a cheap wifi-only version (kindle-3, 6''), but my only concern is that I don't know whether it can use the UST sMobile network. Do you have any experience on connecting a Kindle using Wifi in HKUST?

After doing some research about price, screen size and PDF support, I ended up buying the Amazon Kindle DX. And it is great. It really is a good device. It doesn't do much, but what is does, it does beautifully. Very nice :)

Kindle is not yet ready for paper management, maybe wait a little bit more for the next gen.

Chinese clones may have the same hardware, but the software and user experience may not match Kindle's. Following Wei's thoughts, I think the solution is to introduce an iPad with both a LED screen and an e-ink screen. We can navigate on one, and when we need to read large chunks of text, we can switch to the other.

I bet such a device will be extremely popular in the future.

This is a very good idea, e-ink screen would be too slow for a computer monitor, but it can be made into an accessory to display large chunks of static text.

Thank you so much for sharing your Kindle experience. :)

I hope some company can release a USB E-ink screen that can used together with a netbook ... so I can use my favorite software for bibliography management and other purposes.
